Website inspection

Your website is probably broken.
You would have no way of knowing.

Most business websites are quietly failing: slow, unpatched, invisible in local search, or recording no data at all. Not dramatically. Just enough to cost you customers who never mention it.

I find out exactly what is wrong, prove it with measurements, and tell you what it costs to fix. Whether or not you hire me for the fixing.

Report in 48 hours. Credited in full against any work you decide to do. Not sure yet? The free check takes ten seconds and needs no signup.

The entire company

01

You get me.

I answer the email, inspect the site, and do the work. There is no handoff.

02

Nothing is outsourced.

Your site and access are never passed to a contractor you did not choose.

03

No hidden cost.

You approve the scope and fixed price first. If either changes, I ask before I proceed.

04

No lock-in.

Ongoing monitoring is optional. Cancel any time, for any reason.

Two ways a website fails

It stops working, or it stops being found.

Both are measurable. Both are invisible from the inside, because your own site always loads fast for you and always appears when you search for it by name.

Is it working

  • Speed and Core Web Vitals

Measured properly: medians across multiple runs, not one flattering screenshot.

  • Security and patch status

Known vulnerabilities, abandoned plugins, and signs the site has already been compromised.

  • Mobile reality

Tested on a real phone viewport. Navigation, forms, and checkout, not just a screenshot of the homepage.

  • Broken paths

Dead links, failing forms, pages that error, and anything a customer can hit that does not work.

Can anyone find it

  • Google Business Profile

Claimed, complete, categorised correctly, and consistent with the site.

  • Apple Maps and Business Connect

The half of local search almost nobody sets up, and every iPhone uses.

  • Structured data

Whether search engines can actually read what your business is, where it is, and what it charges.

  • Titles, descriptions, social previews

What shows up in results and when someone shares your link.

  • Analytics that actually record

Whether anything is being measured at all. Frequently the answer is no.

Evidence

Start with the page you are on.

Anyone can claim they make websites fast. Open your browser's developer tools, reload this page, and check every number below yourself. It is the only claim on this site you do not have to take on trust.

Page weight 10 KB

The entire homepage over the wire, compressed: the document and its stylesheet. A typical small business homepage runs around 2,500 KB.

Third-party requests 0

Nothing on this page is fetched from another company. No tag manager, no chat widget, no font host.

JavaScript 722 bytes

No framework and no script files to download. The menu button and one scroll effect are written inline, and that is the whole of it.

Webfonts 0

Text is legible the instant the HTML lands, rather than after two font files download.

Server response under 200 ms

Time to first byte. The page is served finished from the edge rather than assembled by a database on every visit.

Cookie banner none

There is nothing here that needs consent, so there is nothing to click before you can read the page.

None of that is clever. It is what a website looks like when somebody measured it instead of assuming. Measured 13 August 2026.

What a report also says

Sometimes the honest answer is that a thing is fine.

An inspection that finds ten critical problems on every site is a sales script, and buyers know it. Ours has to be willing to tell you something is working, or you have no reason to believe the parts that are not.

Where something is already in good order, the report says so and moves on. You are paying for a true picture, not a list long enough to justify an invoice.

Why this is not an agency

You have probably been through this before.

An agency Here
An account manager between you and the work You speak directly with me. I inspect the site and do the work
Work passed to a contractor you never meet Nothing is outsourced or handed off
Scope hidden inside a proposal The work, price, and limits are written down before you approve it
Extra charges after the work starts No surprise invoice. A changed price requires your approval first
A retainer designed to be difficult to leave Monitoring is optional. Cancel any time, for any reason
